You will start your Florence and Uffizi or Accademia Museum Private Tour from Versilia in Piazza della Signoria. This is a real open air museum in the heart of Florence. First of all, you can find Palazzo Vecchio, with its impressive tower. Secondly, you find the unique Neptune Fountain and one of the most famous loggias in the world: Loggia dei Lanzi. This loggia was once used for public assemblies in the past, but today you find elegant sculptures below its arches. Third of all, is the well-known David Statue in front of Palazzo Vecchio. However, this is not the original statue of Michelangelo. Indeed, the original version is placed inside the Accademia Museum.

Florence and the Duomo

Visit Piazza del Duomo, the heart of Florence

Another great square in Florence is Piazza Duomo. Indeed, you find here other unique buildings like the gothic Duomo with its colorful marble façade. Besides, you find the Baptistery. The Baptistry is famous for its bronze doors, that Michelangelo used to call the Gates of Paradise. Also, next to the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore), you can see the famous Giotto’s Bell Tower and the imponent red brick Cupola from Brunelleschi.

The Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia in Florence

The Uffizi Gallery is very close to Piazza della Signoria. It also includes the Vasari Corridor. It goes from Palazzo Vecchio to Palazzo Pitti, on the other side of the river. In fact, the Passage crosses Ponte Vecchio and goes through the Boboli Gardens. The Uffizi is the most popular attraction of Florence and also one of the most visited art museums in the world. In fact, it holds a big collection of masterpieces from the Italian Renaissance. Additionally, you can visit the Accademia Gallery Museum and see the original David statue by Michelangelo.
Certainly, you will not be disappointed by the concentration of art inside these museums. They are really worth a visit.
