From the Port of Livorno directly to the Leaning Tower of Pisa

We will drive to the academic city of Pisa. There, we will stop shortly by the Field of Miracles with its famous Leaning Tower. The Leaning Tower is part of the Cathedral as its indipendent bell tower, originally built in a perfectly vertical position. Today, after many restoration works, it leans to 13,5 feet. Then we will pass through Piazza Dei Cavalieri, with the stunning facade designed by Giorgio Vasari. Afterwards, you will see the picturesque Lungarno, the river street full of palaces and shops along the Arno.

Discover the beauty of Florence on our private tour
After our time in Pisa, we will leave the city and drive towards Florence, the capital city of Tuscany. To reach the historical centre, we will drive in front of the old city gate, Porta Romana. We will see Palazzo Pitti (Pitti Palace), former residence of the powerful Florentine Medici family. Today, the building hosts some art galleries. Behind the Pitti Palace, there is the magnificent park, the Boboli Gardens.
You will learn about the rich cultural history of Florence during our sightseeing-tour. We will get to Piazza della Signoria and Piazza del Duomo. There, you find the Marble Duomo with its striped facade, and the Baptistery, famous for its bronze doors. The famous artist Michelangelo used to call them the Gates of Paradise. You will love the magnificence of Santa Maria del Fiore with Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Basilica of Santa Croce.

Hi, We were a party of 4, Maximo was our tour guide. He was amazing, promptly at our port on 8am right outside of the gate. The tour was amazing, so detailed, professional and articulate. He gave us a map of all the places we could go to, recommended us a great place for lunch. I would highly recommend this tour. The wine and olive tour was the best part! Thank you again.
Our tour driver Massimo (aka “Max”) was waiting for our group of eight when we got off the Oceania Marina ship in Livorno. Although it was raining, Max had us covered as he had umbrellas. He assured us the weather would get better as we went inland towards Pisa and Florence…and it did!
Max was amazing! Very personable and made the day super fun for us. He shared a fountain of information, knew his way around the city streets and dropped us off /picked us up at designated spots making it easy for us to find him. The Italian restaurant he suggested in Florence for lunch was really good – eating true, authentic pizza was the best! Since it was a Monday, the museums in Florence were closed; however, we got to see almost everything we wanted to see. Our last stop was at a Tuscany Valley winery where we enjoyed wine, dipped bread in real olive oil and had an amazing view of the beautiful Tuscany Valley — it doesn’t get any better than that! And needless to say, it was a very happy ride back to the ship! Thank you Max for the perfect one day tour – you met our expectations and more!
