We will drive through the typical Tuscan landscape. On our way to Florence, we will see the old city gate, Porta Romana. Moreover, we will admire the Palazzo Pitti. It was the former residence of the rich Medici family during the 13^th century. Behind the Palazzo Pitti, you will see the Boboli Gardens with rare plants and a scenic fountain.

You will start your Small Group Florence and Chianti Wine in the countryside from Pisa in Piazza della Signoria. This is a real open air museum in the heart of Florence. First of all, you can find Palazzo Vecchio, the Town Hall of Florence with its impressive tower. Secondly you find the unique Neptune Fountain and one of the most famous loggias in the world: Loggia dei Lanzi. This loggia was once used for public assemblies in the past, but today you find elegant sculptures below its arches. Third of all, but not last for importance, is the well known David Statue in front of the Palazzo Vecchio. However, this is not the original statue of Michelangelo. Indeed, the original version is placed inside the Accademia Museum.

Another great square in Florence is Piazza Duomo, because here you find other unique buildings like the gothic Duomo with its colorful marble façade. Besides, you find the Baptistery. The Baptistry is famous for its bronze doors, that Michelangelo used to call the Gates of Paradise. Next to the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore), you can see the famous Giotto’s Bell Tower and the imponent red brick Cupola from Brunelleschi.
