Our suggestion for your stay in Tuscany

In case you are staying in Tuscany for few days, our recommendation is to choose a place where you can fully enjoy the Tuscan landscape. Indeed, you can combine some relaxing time in the suggestive countryside to the visit of historical and cultural destinations like Florence, the Cinque Terre in Liguria, or the small villages of San Gimignano and Volterra. A good idea, if you are flying to Pisa for example, is to stay at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Borgo alle Vigne. This hillside retreat is only half an hour driving from Pisa airport. Or you can stay at one of the many holiday farms in our region, where you can enjoy the typical products of our land in an authentic context.

Day 1 – Tour of Florence and Visit of the Uffizi or Accademia Museums

We think that you should dedicate the first day to the visit of the Italian Craddle of the Renaissance, Florence. The regional capital of Tuscany is right in the heart of the region at about 70 km from Pisa, 60 km from Lucca, 85 km from Livorno.

We can pick you up at your accomodation in the countryside and drive you on our Private Tour to Florence. There, you will admire the stunning Piazza Duomo with the marble Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower and St.John’s Baptistry. You will enjoy a lovely walk on Ponte Vecchio and have some free time for lunch or shopping in the local boutiques and artesans’ shops. Included in the tour is the visit of one of the most important museums in the city, the Uffizi Galleries or the Accademia Museum. In this last museum, the original statue of the David from Michelangelo is kept. During the high season, there can be a long queue to visit them. For this reason, we suggest you to pree-book the entrance tickets.

Wine is part of our culture and one of our passions. Therefore, we think that your visit to Tuscany should include a wine tasting experience and the discovery of our best flavours and typical products. Day 3 – Private Tour to Cinque Terre

Even if the Cinque Terre are in the nearby region of Liguria, we think you should not miss them during your holidays here. Indeed, the area even belongs to UNESCO. It includes a marine park along the Ligurian coast, where the 5 small villages are located. They are Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore. Its beauty comes from the unique environment surrounding the villages with terraced vineyards and rows of olive trees. It takes less than one and a half hour to reach the southernmost village of Riomaggiore from Pisa. From Florence it takes less than 2 and a half hours instead.

You can reach the Five Lands on our Best Cinque Terre Day Tour and take the ferry boat once within the National Park to get from one village to the other. In case of bad weather conditions, you can get to the villages by train. Otherwise, if you wish to enjoy a more exclusive Private Tour, you can choose a Boat Tour and admire the Cinque Terre from a different perspective.

Day 5 – Private Tour to San Gimignano and Volterra in Tuscany

In the heart of Tuscany you find two historical gems that are worth a visit: San Gimignano and Volterra. Locals refer to San Gimignano as the Manhattan of the Middle Ages. The reason is in the many old towers still rising today from the hill. They are even visible in the distance and define a real medieval skyline.

On the other hand, the precious Volterra has Etruscan origines. There you find interesting ruins and also some Roman evidence. Both villages are very rich in art and history. Moreover, you can reach and visit them from the main Tuscan cities within the day.
